The Workshop Is OPEN!

Join us for the Grand Reopening of Our Lapidary Workshop!

For more than six months, dedicated team members have worked hard to completely renovate the workshop, bring safety features up to code, and create a better space for learning lapidary skills. This exciting new space will also be our club’s home base and a place for future workshops in jewelry making and other creative skills.

We invite all current members—and encourage you to bring anyone interested in joining—to come see the workshop, meet fellow club members, and learn about becoming a member or signing up to use the space.

Open House Hours

Saturday, October 17: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Sunday, October 18: 12–5 p.m.
Enjoy a tour of the new space, pizza, popcorn and snacks, plus jewelry-making and lapidary demonstrations throughout the weekend.

We can’t wait to celebrate this new chapter with you!

Field Trips, Digs & Workshops

Hands-On Discovery

We believe the best learning happens in the field and at the workbench. From guided digs and outdoor exploration to shaping stone in the lapidary workshop, our hands-on experiences make geology tangible, exciting, and accessible — especially for those seeking meaningful, screen-free learning.

Supporting curiosity, now and into the future

What We Believe

We believe earth science and mineralogy deserve to be lived, practiced, and passed down — not tucked away in textbooks or forgotten collections.

That’s why we’re committed to bridging generations through:

Monthly meetings and educational programs
Hands‑on lapidary and workshop experiences
Field trips and real‑world exploration
Classes ranging from foundational skills to advanced techniques, metalworking, and modern approaches to the craft

Here, learning is ongoing. Questions are welcome. Skills are shared generously. And curiosity is always encouraged.
